In August 2007, with Josh Hogan (Pan America) on vocals and bass, Johnny Royal (The Royal Fever) Alex Drizos (Isadora) on guitars, and Cole Dalton (The Mulhollands) on drums, Only The Young set out to create something aggressive, catchy, and contemporary.
Collectively Josh, Johnny, Cole, and Alex sound like a fresh cutting-edge band with heavy and atmospheric strings and upbeat rhythm sections creating a new sound that has the aesthetics of The Foo Fighters, Circa Survive, and Acceptance.
Producer Lee Miles (The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus) of The
Loving Loss began working with the band in the studio and helped shape the
singles from the "Hollywood Summer Sessions" demos that are being
released every few weeks with "The Weekend" starting the rotation. Writing
has commenced for Only The Young's full-length record with no release date
as of yet and the band is set to tour throughout the West Coast and
Midwest over the next year.
