About ONSEN-TARO

ミュンヘンで謎のDJ兼プロデューサー。年齢不詳。民謡と温泉をこよなく愛する親日家。数年前に群馬県草津温泉へ旅行に来た際に『草津音頭』を偶然耳にし、民謡サウンドに触発され、聴いたことのなかったリズムの民謡に興味を持つ。その後インターネットで民謡の事を調べ、本作『WHAT DOES MIN-YO MEAN?』の制作に入る。日本のストリートミュージック、民謡を独自のセンスと解釈で新たなDANCE MUSICに昇華するセンスはタダモノではなく、ある意味新しいジャンルを確立してしまったことを本人は全く気付かず、ただ純粋に『温泉と民謡が好き！』からと直感と勢いで本作を作り上げた。旧知の仲であった日本のキング・オブ・サブカルチャー、みうらじゅん氏がプロデュースに乗り出し、初の民謡アルバムが完成するに至った。またみうらじゅん氏はM-4.KUMBHIRA-SHIPでヴォーカルとして参加。
