They are certain goalkeepers, all they brave, they will eat you crop and you bread, they will devour you children and you daughters, your rams will be eaten and your cows, your vineyards and your figs, they will destroy your strongholds in which so much you trust.  Nevertheless, it says Yahweh, not even in those days I will destroy them completely, and when they ask:  Why Yahweh, our God, has done all this with us?", you will tell them: As well as they left me to worship, in the country of you, to strange gods, in the same way  will have to serve foreigners in a land that is not that of you."  (Jeremiah 5:15:19)
