InfluencesOur production co. is entertaining serious final investors for profit participation shares. E-mail for more info. herrliberman@hotmail.com Thanks "On The Ropes" is the most promising script we've seen this year. It has an inherently interesting setting, topic and main character. At its best, the story is stirring, gripping and funny. It's obvious that you understand basic spec-screenplay formatting. Your dialog is above average and sometimes shines, particularly during comedic banter..." The Script Gauntlet (Professional Script analyzers)-a quote about our script ...
DirectorsStanley Kubrick quotes.....................I think the big mistake in schools is trying to teach children anything, and by using fear as the basic motivation. Fear of getting failing grades, fear of not staying with your class, etc. Interest can produce learning on a scale compared to fear as a nuclear explosion to a firecracker." -Stanley Kubrick "I never learned anything at all in school and didn't read a book for pleasure until I was 19 years old." --Stanley Kubrick "How could we possibly appreciate the Mona Lisa if Leonardo had written at the bottom of the canvas: 'The lady is smiling because she is hiding a secret from her lover.' This would shackle the viewer to reality, and I don't want this to happen to 2001." --Stanley Kubrick "The screen is a magic medium. It has such power that it can retain interest as it conveys emotions and moods that no other art form can hope to tackle." --Stanley Kubrick "Perhaps it sounds ridiculous, but the best thing that young filmmakers should do is to get hold of a camera and some film and make a movie of any kind at all." -Stanley Kubrick

Professional Affiliations On the Ropes-the film @myspace support Indie film Body: The polish American Boxing hero,His life and times...and we own the script! Presently we are entertaining final investors in the biggest thing to happen to movies in years....Be a part of history. we specialize in bringing together investors to participate in the development and financing of Hollywood made motion pictures. Until recently, the industry has been controlled by the major studios, making investment opportunities in individual films generally unavailable to the public. But due to the increased demand for American made films worldwide and the development of new markets including network, pay and cable television, videocassette and video disc market, there is a tremendous shortfall of quality product. The growth of all these markets has created a demand, which cannot be met by the studios alone. These major studios and distribution companies now rely on independently financed films to fill this void. Although the major studios have large budgets, many have had a careless attitude towards spending which has resulted in budget waste and cost overruns. "Bigger" is not always "better". Facts show that an independent film can be produced for less than four million dollars and still not sacrifice quality production values. This is possible today when new production technology is coupled with a no frills, back to basics business attitude. We believe this business methodology creates an investment that is second to none.welcomes you to the exciting world of feature length films. Steve Wilburn {screenwriter of "On the Ropes"} and I have an offer concerning a Feature film that will be made this summer here in chicago, about about one of the sports legends of Chicago. Its to be filmed in Chicago, as its our local history, we want told with all the splender that is Chicago! So we want local investors. just a paragraph on the film "On The Ropes" is the true-life story about, arguably, the greatest sports comeback of all-time. Craig "Gator" Bodzianowski was an up and coming cruiserweight boxer in the early "80's," on his way to becoming a contender when he had a horrific motorcycle accident which resulted in the amputation of his lower right leg. Against all the odds, "Gator" defied all of the critics and naysayers to become what some say the toughest man who ever stepped into the ring. Not the best fighter but the toughest. Gator goes on to win the Illinois Heavyweight Championship, the Intercontinental America's Cruiserweight Championship and eventually wins the right to fight for WBA World Championship belt. The film culminates with a fight that people would think was fiction if it weren't all true. if seriously interested, we can hook you up with a package.everything is in the package {PPM / bus. plan / projections, including a DVD of great news clips and info on the gator.Thank you for your time and please give this your consideration. my cell is 608.446.8674 24/7 my name is Jeff >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>CHICAGO ILL. "STILL STANDING" by Steve Wilburn A DOCU WE DID ON THE SUBJECT OF OUR FEATURE FILM "On the Ropes" .. ................................................................................................... ON THE ROPES This is the incredible true story of Chicago South Sider Craig Gator Bodzianowski, who made one of the greatest professional sports comebacks ever. Gator takes his never quit attitude that he got from his father into the boxing ring and compiles an amazing amateur record. Soon he turns pro and resolves to become the cruiserweight champion of the world. He meets and falls in love with Sheila, a beautiful girl whos athletic enough to keep pace with him. While Gator winning record continues to grow, so does his ego. Once Sheila realizes hes cheating on her, she dumps him. Gators father, his coach and his brother, Billy, warn him he had better straighten out his wild ways or suffer his first knockout. Only after Billys accidental death does Gator refocus and rededicate himself to winning the title. Everything changes when he has a horrific motorcycle accident. After several operations his lower right leg has to be amputated. The doctors say his boxing career is over but he will be able to jog again on prosthesis. Gators friends, trainers and family are devastated. But Gator knows what no one else knows. He knows that if he can jog, he can run. And if he can run, he can box. Through harrowing pain, dedication and focus, Gator makes a remarkable recovery. Sheila sees the changes in him and comes back to support him. Defying all his critics, Gator fights to get back in the ring and after many setbacks, makes his professional comeback and wins. When Gators critics charge that the fight was fixed, the cry goes out to revoke his license. Gator proves them wrong again by taking on all comers and compiling an impressive winning record. He has to fight boxing commissions, critics, boxers and perceptions. Gator perseveres and amazes the world with his comeback, culminating in an extraordinary world title fight. Gator shows the world how to fight with your heart. The world shows Gator what the most important things in life are, love and family. On The Ropes was a quarter finalist in the Maui Screen writing Competition and the Empire Screenplay Contest, the Illinois Screen writing Contest, a finalist at the Script Connection, and semifinalist in the Nicholls Fellowships. Spring is here and so are the butterflies! This week I have a gallery of a particular group of butterflies called Brushfoots. Brushfoots are the most commonly known and encountered of the large colorful butterflies (excluding the swallowtails) found in Florida and the Americas. These include the monarchs, fritillaries, buckeyes, and the viceroy below (who has nearly identical markings as the toxic monarch butterfly) to keep it from being eaten by birds.... cool trick, huh? :-)

Click the butterfly below to see my gallery - and please let me know what you think!

Thanks for looking!

Hey, "OntheRopes"aWCIFilmprod,

As you may or may not know I was asked to write for an amazing project called quite simply, Barstow. I was introduced to Robert by a mutual friend and the whole thing snowballed. The collection of information has been complete for some time and we are well into compiling it into a readable format. If you"re a fan of Hunter Thompson"s journalism and the styles of Anthony Burgess or Chuck Palahniuck you"ll love Barstow.

Robert"s main stipulation for me, if I was to take on the project, was to keep things as real as he remembers them. What happened is not for people who are easily offended or of high moral constitutions. The fact is that some of the events are downright horrific but Robert survived and made it back to Los Angeles.

I thought that seeing as though the website is now up and running I"d let you know about it. Robert will be posting there intermittently but mainly it will be a place for us to display excerpts and discuss the details of what happened to Robert and how we pulled all the information together. It took a lot of time and hard work but the project is finally getting near to something resembling completion.

Here"s the link:

I hope you enjoy.

All the best,
--
Iain.

Thanks for being a friend. It's really awesome.

I can't wait to get the CD done and do some shows where I can hopefully meet some of you.

I wish I had a time machine and could blast forward and start doing shows tomorrow.

PS. TWO GUITAR PLAYERS WANTED... Make That One Now!!!

The new material we are working on will have a guitarmony sound and will require three players. We are looking for one player who lives in the Detroit Metro area.

What we are looking for:

1. Age 18 to 27
2. Must be a great player.
3. Studio and Live experience a plus.
4. Style of music is pop/rock/alternative/punk
5. Style is a cross between 30 Seconds To Mars, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Muse, Garbage, and The Used with strong commercial appeal.
6. Lead or Backing vocal capabilities a plus.
7. Ability to write guitar parts for existing melody lines.
8. Must have time to make a commitment and be available for studio and live shows. Currently rehearsals are scheduled on Sunday between 1:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M.
9. Will require learning a certain amount of filler cover material.
10. If you have drug or alcohol related issues this probably wouldn't work for you.

A label showcase is scheduled for late February - so time is of the essence.

If you or someone you know is what we are looking for. Please let me know so we can set up a studio audition.
