onTic was created in 2005 and with some fine tuning, formed into a highly cohesive musical team. Performing throughout the Niagara Region, onTic plays mostly new hard rock, with the occasional older song thrown in for good measure. Here are the members of onTic and a brief summary of who they really are.
Dereck “D” Foster has a passion for entertaining people and loves the fact that he can demonstrate his talents on a professional level as the lead vocalist for onTic. Standing as the shortest member of the band (height-wise that is), Dereck has been influenced by such artists as Bon Jovi, Incubus, Bob Seger and Nickleback to name a few. By age 17, Dereck could be found behind the mic at various Karaoke bars across the Niagara Region and is still going strong with onTic.
Marcel “Badass” Bilodeau is the lead guitarist and backup vocalist for onTic. He has been influenced by a family that was rich in music, inspiring him to begin playing guitar at an early age. Learning to play did not come easy, but his desire became stronger every time he saw someone play. Marcel has been in many bands, some good, some not so good, but he has learned a little from each one and is all the wiser for it.
“Sting” Ray Pouliot has been playing bass for nearly 20 years. He spent many evenings since the age of 5 watching his father’s band rehearse. At the age of 7, Ray played his first performance on the drums and became hooked on music after this amazing experience. Ray’s musical influences include Stone Temple Pilots, Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. As the bass player and backup vocalist, Ray is an invaluable member of onTic.
onTic’s ideas and creativity have lead them into the studio to record their cover music, with another studio date booked to record their original music. All of the members of onTic are very passionate and loyal to their music and most importantly, their fans.
