    ..Ontogeny is a San Francisco based technical death metal band started in 2002 by Nathaniel Vennarucci. Many songs and demos were recorded during the first few years but the material for what became the first full length album "Pillars of Perversion" would not be written until 2005. With the new songs recorded to program drums, Mica Maniac was recruited to fill in vocal duties. Pillars was a self released and produced album which seemed to gain momentum despite the lack of a full band lineup. Cd's and shirts have been shipped all around the world all self funded and managed. After the release of Pillars the writing for the upcoming album Discord and Disillusion began. In 2010 the band recruited Keith Grimshaw on drums and Sam Zuerner on bass to finish the lineup. The album Discord and Disillusion is now in its final stages of recording and features the organic qualities most death metal bands fail to appreciate.
