the weather, the cherry tree in my backyard, people I have crushes on, art in alleys, dusty corners of libraries, all conspiratorial mashersmashers who rock the world with a recontextualized raggaeton of bricks, pirate radio, balkan brass, my mama&papa, coco rosie, Jon Brion, Colleen, animal collective, cat stevens, the shins, the weakerthans, moldy peaches, mum.

So!!
good news... As some of you may know, I am one dot in a lovely elipses of musicians, (polka dot dot dot) and after returning from a most magical tour of New zealand, we have recorded an album, and are very proud of it. It's available from our comrades at
Bicycle records. As far as a solo onyx of oly album, its still in the fetal stages inside
my heart and throat and ukelele-worn fingertips, but hopefully this album shall fill your musical bellies...

Love it: hot pink, social chameleons, talking about the weather and ethnomusicology,
herbal tea, irish step dancing, bicycles!!! (riding and fixing them), cascadia, stomping and clapping, avocados, obscure electronic subgenres, (thrashhouse?!) librarians, printmaking, picnics, my garden, pancakes, criminals, pirates (nautical or otherwise)
ICE CREAM, prolonged eye contact, flirting, learning languages, (hindi/gaelic/castellano) blueberries, people whose glasses slip down on their noses, anything or anyone that's on fire, excessively large and diverse music collections, geurilla parties and art installations, helping people realize how amazing they are, being nosy, antique dresses, rhinestones, yer mom jokes, yoga, repairing the disconnect between production and consumption
(what farm grew the apples you eat?) people with kick-ass communication skills, sleeping late, baking bread for your neighbors, and ice cream which I think I mentioned before.
Building supportive, inclusive, inspiring, non-stagnating communites and organizations so that people can be wherever they find themselves without going insane.

Lucius here! Wow, there's lots of new (to me) stuff on your page; can't wait to peruse it. You rock!
I'm letting people know that my old myspace page is now the official profile of the "Handbook for the Modern Mystic." I'll be releasing the Handbook as a 5-book series, staggered from now to the end of 2012 (an arbitrary timeline based on my writing ability rather than ancient Mayan prophecies--but hey, while there's all the fanfare, why not cash in?). There's a load of new text segments in my Blog; I hope that some of it resonates with your experiences and insights. Much more material will be featured on the upcoming web site, modernmystic.com.
Peace!
PS: Tell anyone in Oly who remembers me that I hope to take a trip up there someday soon!
