Once upon a time she was a war correspondent, a wild dolphin swimmer, an organic farmhand, a clown ... Now, rooted in the earthy and the ethereal, an alchemist of song, Oona’s evocative Celtic harp and piano entwine with her pure voice to evoke a primal beauty.
Her music is a river connecting song to sustainability, heartache to hope, passion to possibility, revealing an artist who not only loves the world, but believes we can transform it. An occasional traditional melody appears with eclectic instrumentation. Evocative lyrics meet a sometimes soaring, sometimes uniquely percussive harp, merging with world instruments to create a sound that is earthy and ethereal, moving and transcendent. In live performance, Oona lights up the stage with her wit, compassion and open heart.

“Dance”
“The expression of love, grace an elegance A movement of intimacy, empowerment, romance Riding the crest of an ocean wave Gliding through the air on a breezy day My body on Earth my soul reaches away To Heaven. The religion of rhythm A moth to a candle A key to a slave of Pleasure and pain I take my first emancipated steps Freedom This is my chance. That’s where I go When I Dance.”

“My Cat.”
“My cat leaps around the garden fence Pouncing on anything that moves There’s no defence Sleeps for hours and sometimes days Bathing in the summer rays Hibernating in the winter cold Prowling, howelling meowing so bold My cat is quick, sleek, reactions unique If I ever return as a bird or a mouse then I am going to leave my house When I am due to travel away my cat sulks for days Moody before and then turns his back as I return to the door Feeding him food from a tin Is considered by my feline friend a cardinal sin He sits and looks at me in disgust This is not what I want for my breakfast. “Give me lean chicken, salmon or fresh beluga Or I’ll slash the side of your chair like Freddy Kruger My claws are sharp I will reduce your coat To the texture and look of an old Nanny goat I go to sit in my favourite chair In front of the fire and guess whose there! Asleep in my bed I awake with surprise As a purring nose pokes me straight in the eyes! I now understand the word perfection Is all about my cats affection Even when he wreaks the place I live A look from those saucer green eyes makes me forget and forgive. My cat has a spiritual link, a supernatural perception Something that humans have no connection I can only watch look and admire all of that Oh…I forgot to mention. My cat is An Acrobat.”
Everyone sees the unseen in proportion to the clarity of his heart, and that depends upon how much he has polished it. Whoever has polished it more sees more - more unseen forms become manifest to him.

“Passion Flower”
“Love is a passion flower It may not last forever While she’s here She’s dressed as natures Finest Princess A radiant, wondrous creation A garden hostess To grace the autumn wonderland A cascade of colours that nature gave To brighten, enlighten and bless our lives Before the winter wasteland Whose darkness does arrive
Love can last forever Through the glorious rebirth of spring To the shining sunburst of summer I know she will return In the autumn clouds Bloom and grow As the wind blows The leaves float Gently to the ground I catch the fall
Love is a passion flower The greatest gift of all.”
There was a Chameleon and somehow found himself lost in the big city. That whomever he met he always took on their character. He came upon a tiny little depressed mouse and he quickly turned gray. Then he came across some yellow parrots that always kept repeating the same scary stories from the past. He immediately turned yellow. By the end of the day he was completely exhausted and short of breath and slowly saw himself turning blue.
This went on for years… fawning, being fearful and afraid. Always changing colors and it was plain to see he had forgotten his original natural world.
Than one day he did the unimaginable. He started to question and examine his interior states, He remembered hearing a wise old owl say, “Negative emotions attract like minded thoughts and feelings” Little by little he was starting to make the connection that maybe just maybe he was hanging around with the wrong crowd.
To be alone would be terrifying but new in his heart of hearts that he couldn’t go back. At that point something changed… Their was a clearing in the smog and in the distance he saw the most Majestic Tree right in the middle of this beautiful lush green forest. He dropped everything and followed the clearing and before long he was standing underneath the tallest tree that guided him there.
He started to climb and climb and little by little he began to notice the higher he went he was getting greener and greener. He took a moment and was aware of the changes taking place both internally and externally and was enjoying his new found color. Finally reaching the top and overlooking the valley knew in his heart of hearts that this was home.
… The color green has always represented newness
