Project Safe Place
Open Inn is partnered with the nationally recognized organization, National Safe Place, to provide Project Safe Place services throughout Southern Arizona. Project Safe Place provides 24 hour crisis intervention to youth in their own communities. Through Project Safe Place, Open Inn partners with businesses, government units, non-profit organizations, and public transit systems who display the yellow and black Safe Place decal. Read more...
Street & Community Outreach
Open Inn’s outreach program provides 24 crisis intervention and support for homeless teens through a network of Safe Place sites throughout Pima County. Street based outreach services including assessment, case management, basic needs, reproductive health care, and food are provided to homeless youth and young adults at a circuit of parks, recreation centers, transit stations, malls and other places youth congregate. Prescott’s premiere service center for at-risk youth, Open Inn’s Turning Point Youth Center provides street and community outreach, assessment and intervention, a seven-bed crisis shelter, life skills training and a Transitional Apartment Living Program for youth. Read more...
Tucson Shelters
Open-Inn currently operates two short-term crisis shelters in Tucson, the Louis Street Shelter in mid-town and the Linden Street Shelter in East Tucson. Both shelters serve youth (ages 8-17) who have runaway, are homeless or are unable to remain home due to a crisis situation. Read more...
