This is not "dubby" music. There are not "dub influences." This is REAL LIVE DUB REGGAE, updated, upgraded, fresh, shiny and ready for the 21st Century. Each show is a completely new, totally live dub of classic reggae riddims. From spaced-out ambient psychedelica to heavy-duty rockers with a world-music twist, it's never the same twice, and it never fails to melt brains and shake backsides!
Okay, here's how it works: If you look at the four songs available for listen (and free mp3 download!!) You'll see "Triumphant Dub," and "Victorious Dub." Check 'em out. These both come from the same "RIDDIM" or basic reggae instrumental tracks (drum, bass, chords, guitar, horns etc) Again: THESE ARE TWO DIFFERENT "DUBS" OF THE SAME RIDDIM (Jamaican for "rhythm"). So in a live concert, Cooper runs the basic riddims through his mixing board and strips them down LIVE AND IN REAL TIME to that weird, shimmery, bassy, echoing thing you hear in the mp3. We usually also have one or more live instrumentalist playing on stage through live FX and of course there are always surprises...So nothing is ever even a little bit the same twice. It's always a totally spontaneous, in-the-moment experience, and we'd love to share it with you!
... the sky is clearing, tender sunrays strike one's skin again, the air is fresh and clean and sometimes one can even watch a rainbow.
This situation represents pretty much the musical atmosphere of Krama's second album: Mighty bass structures form a clean and solid foundation, on which sunny melodies swash out of trancy depths, accompanied by forcing rhythm structures. Since 2001, Dimitris Violitzis and Elias Garanis from Greece have constantly developed their very own definition of Power Progressive Trance.
The epic flow of their music is inspired by their musical background, which includes minimal Progressive Trance on the one hand but also classical and Celtic music, New Age sounds and even some Metal.
The intense effectiveness of Krama's tunes could already been witnessed on many different Progressive floors where the two dudes always delivered excellent shows.
