About me:
OpenTone is an exciting new project funded and supported by Wiltshire Youth Development service. Our aim is to offer young people with any form of additional need an alternative approach to creating music, sound and visual environments. Using interactive and sensory technology it is now possible to create sound, music , animation, and visual effects by just the use of movement. Those with limited abilities have the opportunity to create and control sound, music and image, for example, by even the slightest movement of the hand. What can it offer me? OpenTone can design projects based of the individual needs of Youth Development Centres, Schools, and young peoples requirements. The projects can offer individual learning support through informal education allowing for development in other areas not covered in traditional learning. Not only will OpenTone help young people educationally but it will also help to develop confidence and new skills that they may never known existed. Going Live? OpenTone has the ability to integrate with many aspects of live performance. Dancers and performers can trigger different sounds and effects by movement within stage performances and theatrical pieces. Using this technology, highly interactive performances can be achieved OpenTone can also allow images to be projected and sequenced by movement, making a live concert even more alive!

What can I say about my lovely friend Ian? My oldest and dearest friend!

We met when we were 11 and it's been music all the way since. He's a brilliant musician, producer, engineer and - most importantly - an amazing friend.

His own music is full of seeds, loads of ideas, any one of which could form the basis of a healthy artistic career (and many of which probably will do).

He has a great ear for music, and he's always full of enthusiasm and encouragement for whatever I'm working on. In fact, several musical things I've been involved in would not have come about had it not been for this guy's encouragement at the early stages.

Bless you! Miss you! Hope to see you soon!
