| Bio | Open Wound Comedy has been showcasing Chicago talent and drunks at The Mutinyalmost two years. Combining improv, stand-up, and miscellaneous tomfoolery, OWC creates one of the most diverse (and possibly drunkest) nights of comedy in Chicago. With an anything goes mentality and the help of comedian, Paul Sigwerth, producer and host, Clare Kelly, puts together a show for an audience that likes to participate as much as they enjoy watching. TBC starts each week off with an unscripted, unplanned, and unpredictable long-form show that promises a fresh and original performance each time out. After TBC makes you laugh until beer foams from your nose, there is an improv jam, followed by the Open Wound Open Mic list. We have had everything from stand-up to ventriloquists to musical comedy acts to a guy telling jokes while escaping a straightjacket and riding a unicycle. And of course, more sketch and improv AND everyones favorite crossing guard, Charlie! You can start signing up at 9:00. New comers are always encouraged to perform. Just none of that singer songwriter shit; this ain't no disco. So come on out to The Mutiny, enjoy a cheap half-pitcher of beer poured by the oh so lovely Jay, and end your weekend with enough comedy to take away those Monday morning blues.
