The adventure starts in 2000 in Turin , and since from the beginning the italian scene paid a lot of attention about this project.
Ophydian has always had a very personal and particular sound as a result of the different influences of the members of the band,
going from the classic bay area style to screamo and electronica.
the four guys always wanted to distance themselves from the stereotypical metal style while maintaining their heavy roots.
after the releasing of two promo CDs and a massive number of live shows all across Italy (where the band was on stage with Dry Kill Logic , Linea 77 , Mothercare ,
Braindamage , Guilty Method,Labyrinth and many more) , in summer 2006 Ophydian started a european tour with Mainline playing live in Slovenia , Austria , Switzerland , England and Wales.
another great moment for the band was coming: the recording sessions of their first full length album "The Perfect Symbiosis",coming out for Dioxzion Records with Twilight distribution.
the record will be in stores on the 20th of april 2007 and exactly two months before in Italy as a worldwide preview.
