Omega Point Theory had many members during its time. The original lineup was made up by Reg and Mat on guitars, Steve on drums, Ben Delany on Bass and Jeremy Wishart on vocals.
After a single gig at Canterbury Uni, Jeremy left for Canada and the band was left looking for a new vocalist. Before a singer could be found, Ben and OPT went separate ways. A few months later Micheal Pearce joined the band for a short time on bass duty. Due other commitments with Jazz School and gigging bands Pearce decided to move on.
After Months of searching, vocalist Hanan Townsend joined the band and, failing to convince Micheal to return, Mat took up the bass and Hanan became a guitarist/vocalist.
With this lineup, Omega Point played gigs at The Jetset lounge, Zebedees and secured a slot on the Debut Stage at the Parachute Music Festival in Hamilton in Jan 2007. Both Mat and Steve were unavailable for this gig and OPT played the show with Michael Pearce on bass and Monaval Falls drummer Aaron Giligan.
With Hanan moving to Wellington Omega Point Theory played its final gig at Zebedees on 2nd Feb 2007.
