The members of Optic have been playing music together since their high school days of 2002. Initially working under the name "Lucid Falls", the band played the local Melbourne scene during 2004 and 2005, before withdrawing in 2006 to undergo some huge changes. Working with producer Lee Cheney, the band created the album "Stimulus : Response", which has now been finished
ALBUM FINISHED - we're still sorting out distribution for this album, but if you'd like a copy, drop us a line at info@opticband.net.

We're next playing on Xmas eve - could it be a ploy to distract the kids from noticing Santa Claus doing his chimney thing? I'd like to think so. Is at the Johnson on Johnson St Fitzroy.
I would love to chat to you guys in Optic some time. What's your poison? ... coffee... beer ... cocktails
Brilliant show last night guys! I really enjoyed seeing you play live, you sounded great. Your costumes were spectacular (despite them probably being absolutely sweltering up on that stage!).
Thanks so much for doing the show with us, we had a great time :) If any other shows come up we'd love to do some more with you, we'll see what comes up!

This beautiful (yes, beautiful) album has been in the making for over a year, us Noble Brats, have worked so hard to create a perfect mirror of our essence and did everything by ourselves. From recording to mixing to mastering. and the result has exceeded even our own expectations. All the songs in this album are full of contrasts and a rockin' out exploration and critique of the different emotions that control our lives, emotions that might keep us in an unhealthy relationship even when we know it's not good for us, emotions that drive some to systematically cut into their own skin to get a sense of control over their pain, emotions that make us wonder about our place in this world. So if you feel ready to take a chance and go on a journey into the darkness of our souls, we promise you a light at the end of the tunnel, you might even see yourself in our eyes.
