Bicycles, cars, sailboats, and ultralight airplanes. If it moves, whether under its own power or by external means, I'm interested in it. Also Anime and animated movies, mostly comedy. And food! I love food, I never met an ethnic cuisine that I didn't like something in. I like pasta, rice dishes, and almost any way you can fix a potato(e) (for Dan Quayle)

About me: I like long bike rides, do a lot of city to city riding. I try to get at least one long city to city ride a week, for at least 100 miles round trip. I ride a 1983 RANS Stratus long wheelbase recumbent bicycle that I have gradually modified over the years, and will continue to modify. Latest modification was fitting both ends to use the same size wheel and tire so I only have to carry one size of tube when I'm touring or just riding city to city.
I have made several trips Dallas to Sherman/Denison TX some 2 day and a couple round trip in one day.(That was just to have lunch on the one day trips rode 112 and 130 miles on those rides). I have also made a couple of trips to Waco which is a few miles further away in the opposite direction from Dallas. I am now building a folding bike to ride around town and take on the bus to avoid traffic.
Who I'd like to meet: Lance Armstrong, AJ Foyt, Mario Cippolini, Parnelli Jones, and Mario Andretti, and Alvin Merrill's daughter Dawn, again.
I ride my 21 speed electric assist bike almost every day. I use the electic scooter for heavy grocery shopping and rarely drive the car anymore, unless it's raining hard or I have to go out of town.
This one hit home for me, as I have met both of these young men. They were riding on a section of highway where several drivers have been killed and injured. The speed limit is 55, most drivers drive 60-65 mph. DECEMBER 18, 2008 – The CHP has reported that Michael E. Hunsucker, 22, of Chico was seriously injured after he was hit by a car on the Skyway highway Wednesday night. The accident happened west of Lookout Point at about 8 p.m. Hunsucker was following another cyclist, Russel Young, down a hill, when his friend overturned his bicycle on the shoulder, causing Hunsucker to also overturn. A motorist, Thomas Taylor, 67, of Rapid City, S.D., slowed and changed lanes but failed to see Hunsucker moving his bike. The car hit Hunsucker and threw him into the Skyway’s center divider. Hunsucker was taken to Enloe Medical Center for major injuries. Taylor, the driver, and Young, the other cyclist, were not injured in the Skyway crash. The CHP is currently investigating the Skyway bicycle accident. Michael died in the hospital.
