Music is one of my passions and I am constantly listening to it or buying CD's and, as with most things in my life, my interests vary widely and therefore I have way too many favorites to list....everything from Blue October, Buckcherry, Sugarland, Rod Stewart, Kid Rock, Gary Allan, Kenny Chesney, Def Leppard, Emminem, Matchbox 20 and Rob Thomas, Lifehouse, Trans-siberian Orchestra, Tim Mcgraw, Natasha Bedingfield and on and on...
Movies
I love movies and some of my all-time favorites are Shawshank Redemption, White Squall, Legends of the Fall, Sound of Music, I am Sam, Grease, Dirty Dancing, Breakfast Club, Pretty Woman, Unfaithful. I have a unexplainable weakness for Nicolas Cage and a naughty infatuation for Sean Penn so anything with them in it is fine by me!
In memory of Heath Ledger 1979-2008
Television
I am a court show, forensic and medical tv show addict (not the stupid Judge Judy type shows)...but all the House, Law and Orders, ER and 48 hour type of shows. I am also a politics and news junkie so when the kids are all in bed and I have the TV to myself late at night it is usually on Anderson Cooper. I am also a adrenaline junkie so I like shows like Dog the Bounty Hunter (blush) and the Deadliest Catch. When I am in the mood to laugh (which is about 99% of the time) I love to watch Will and Grace, Two and a Half Men and Gene Simmon's Family Jewels. This season I am loving Patrick Swayze's "The Beast", the new series "Lie to Me", House, ER and, of course, American Idol:)
Books
Reading is an escape for me and something that I thoroughly love to do. Recently, I have read "Drowning Ruth", "Tuesday's with Morrie" and "The Five People You Will Meet In Heaven" which was one of those deja-vu moments with my bestest friend Randy.
Heroes
I admire anyone that finds something that they are truly passionate about and pursues it...I admire people that can create things, such as artists, writers and musicians. I also admire people that make a difference and give of themselves to others. My personal heroes are the soldiers and their families that sacrifice everyday for this country and my sister who has the biggest heart, loves unconditionally and gives more of herself to others than anyone I have ever known.

Welcome to my page!
I am a 38 year old mother of four awesome kids who's life is always crazy and never without a dull moment...or at least rarely. Boy, when I do get a dull moment though I try to savor every second of it because they are so few and far between!
I love being outside and working on our property, going four wheeling, watching a baseball game, sitting outside on our porch during a storm, fixing dinner and then eating outside with family and friends or just sitting outside listening to the frogs and crickets after dark are all some of my favorite things.
Music is my passion and I write poetry because it allows me to express my soul..
I love water, being at the ocean, long baths...anyway I can enjoy it. I can't wait to fill up the kids pool so I can splash around and play in it, lol~
I spent years as a veterinary technician so I love animals and that is evidenced by our array of pets. My younger kids have inherited my love of the outdoors and I am constantly rescuing frogs, lizards and turtles that they have caught and decided to try to turn into pets.
I am open minded, honest to the point of being brutal sometimes and I live my personal life on my terms. Life is good and I am blessed...and I am surrounded with the love and support of some wonderful friends who make my life better each and every day. I have also been blessed beyond belief to share my life and my children with my partner of 15 years and he has been my best friend, cheerleader, rock and soft place to land all in one.
My kids are 8 yrs, 10 yrs, 18 yrs and 20 yrs old. If you read thru my previous blogs you know that my 20 year old just completed her second year of college. She has had a busy two years attending college fulltime while also working in an afterschool program as a teacher and participating actively in her many groups. She stepped out of her comfort zone this year and got involved playing on several sports teams including flag football and a softball team....all the while enjoying time with her boyfriend.
My 18 year old graduated in May from high school and followed up his involvement in ROTC throughout high school by enlisting in the military. He will be leaving for Basic Training in Sept...scary with the world being what it is these days...but I am proud of him.
My youngest daughter and son continue to keep their daddy and I busy constantly....Tristan is doing well(which was such a blessing to us since my youngest son was born as a preemie with brain hemmorages and was diagnosed at two with mild CP). He just finished his first season of playing baseball and did great and is now playing football for the first time. Watching him continue to succeed has once again made it evident that what we were blessed with was a child that has so much energy and love of life that sometimes I just wish I could borrow an ounce or two of it. Savannah is my beautiful and fearless tomboy and she just overcame another huge obstacle for herself (she is extremely shy) and joined and played her first season of soccer! She had such a fun time with it that she has already made me sign her up to play again in October.
As those of you who know me know, after having my last child, I went back to college and began working toward my college degree...the goal was to hopefully get my Associate's degree and now here I am after getting my Bachelor's degree in August 06!! I got my first job teaching at Head Start and have spent the last two years substitute teaching in our local district. I enjoy the flexibility it provides for me and I get the best of both worlds...being a mom and teacher.
I'm sure you will learn alot more about us and our kids if you keep in touch and read through my updates...as I said, there is always something going on around here that is keeping us busy.
For those of you that I know...I'm so glad you are in my life and that you take the time to keep in touch...and for those of you that are new friends...please feel free to stop by often and share about yourself as well.
Who I'd like to meet: Wow...that it a tough question. Of course, there are the performers (actor/singers) that I would like to meet..I mean isn't there a little groupie in all of us:).
But above all, I would have to say that I would like to meet my biological parents since I was adopted...just to see who they are and what they were/are all about.
