BERNARD BONNIER Casse-tête (Oral CD23): Bonnier (1952-1994) hat sich seinen Nachruhm gesichert durch diese hier wiederveröffentlichte Musik. Der ‚Schädelknacker‘ entstand am Ende des Jahrzehnts, in dem er auch mit Pierre Henry, speziell an dessen Cortical Art 3 (1973), zusammengearbeitet hatte, wurde aber erst 1984, als die Zeit für ‚so etwas‘ reifer geworden war, auf dem Label Amaryllis veröffentlicht und gilt seitdem als Geheimtip für Freunde einer Musique concrète, der man den Spaß an der Freud auch anhört. Bonnier selber hatte das ‚Chamäleon-Musik‘ getauft. Grooviges rhythmisches Gezappel spiralig geloopt, oft gespickt mit Stimmsamples, hechelndem Atem, Gelächter, ohne jede Scheu vor auch albernen Gimmicks, etwa wenn Klangfetzen als bewusst ‚komischer‘ Effekt Karussell fahren, Frauen wie Hühner gackern, Männer wie Schafe blöken. Prototypisch dafür ist ‚Soldier Boy (1973)‘, das den Elvis-Schmachtfetzen von 1960 und davon speziell die Phrase „tell me why“ verwurstet bis zur unkenntlichen Abstraktion und wieder zurück. Kein Grund, die Geschichte von Electronica neu zu schreiben, aber ein schöner Beleg dafür, dass zwischen den Stühlen jede Menge Platz zum Tanzen ist.
