Alex Romano was born in Haarlem, The Netherlands. At the age of fourteen he discovered he had a thing for disco music. Some of his favourite producers/remixers of this period were Shep Pettibone, Larry Levan, Patrick Adams and Francois Kevorkian. At the end of the eighties he grew an interest for house music. By this time he also started Djing at several house parties. In 1991 he started producing his first releases and also co-produced several tracks for Olav Basoski's Samplitude series. After a few years of keeping a low profile and refueling himself he came back in 1999 to produce several releases (sometimes under some other names) on different record labels. Alex Romano's big passion for good house music can be heard in his different styles of music that he plays during his radio shows and dj sets. No matter if it's deep, funky, vocal, electro, tech or progressive house. He played his performances in countries like USA, Scotland, UK, Spain, Norway, Poland, Indonesia, Luxembourg, Germany and Holland. Behind the decks his unique driving house tunes provides an energetic and soulful atmosphere. Some of his tracks are played by the biggest dj's in clubs, on events like Sensation White and Dance Valley Festival and on many radio shows. His tracks and remixes are released on labels like Stealth (Roger Sanchez), Swingcity (Grand Nelson), Work, Fresh Fruit, Rootz, Spinnin', Superstar, Egoist, Big & Dirty, Dirty Soul and the list goes on and on. In 2011 his own label "Digital VUNC" will be released. You can expect some quality housemusic. So open your ears and get ready for some hot music. -
