Orca was first formed in South Wales in 1992 but didnt develop into a full band until 1995. Since then they have played numerous gigs across the country, including Cardiff venues such as "The Barfly" and the "Engine Rooms", as well as local pubs, village festivals and at a number of charity events... .. Despite several line up changes, Orca have always put original songwriting to the forefront, continuing to develop their own original melodic / hard rock sound. They also play a mixture of rock covers from the 80's to present, often arranged in the "Orca" way!... .. In 2003, Orca recorded 3 demo albums, compiling original songs from 1992 right up to 2003 -"Black & White" ('92-'96), "Acoustic Children" ('95-'97), and "Silhouette" ('00-'03). Then in 2005, Orca recorded their fourth album, "Eye Of An Eagle". A further line up change was to follow with the departure of long time guitarist Martyn Underhill. So, "Eye Of An Eagle" (2nd Edition) was born, with new versions of a number of a songs plus new guitars throughout... .. In 2007, Orca completed their 5th album, "Evolution", which featured 15 new tracks, combining the melodic Orca sound with a heavier and more progressive direction... .. Further line up changes were to follow with different guitarists and drummers, settling on the current line up since August 2010. In 2012, ORCA completed their latest CD, "World Gone Crazy". .. Further line up changes were to follow with different guitarists and drummers. Orca are now working on a brand new CD for 2010.
