UPDATE JUNE 2008--links are active, new website is up but still a w.i.p.

this thing, in a way, started with a quick search through a software support forum. this particular forum was for a recording suite, and was populated by musicians, engineers, artists, poets, crazies, drunkards, magnificent bastards, enthusiastic supporters, geniuses...

geoff went looking for answers, along the way discovering the denizens had a penchant for making music via file sharing.

he couldn't wait to become involved, and his baptism is evidenced by the two dobro solos on the song "easy" written and performed by a seattle poet who proved to be a brother from the same karass...

from there, experiments began, with respect to home recording, file sharing, communication via the fourth dimension, telepathy, respect, dobro layering, resophonic insinuation, harmonic balance, madness...

geoff blew his already inflated alter-ego "number6" to "orchestra" status, and has a growing group of fine collaborators who really only know each other through the visceral experience of crafting air into sound.

the presentations here, and at our home site, reflect a learning curve, but there is music, and that's a start:

Geoff buddy, I loved the VURTuality project. I can't thank you enough for your input ... Dave mixed the whole thing into a masterpiece... but, sadly sometimes projects need to 'cease to be'... and then be re-born. I'll be in touch.

Keep up the great work ...

U 6 R AMAZING!!!!

G'day Geoff,

I should get the mastered album back any day now!
I am not attending this mastering session unfortunetly, it's always good fun being there.
Don Bartley is mastering the album. He is Australia's most senior and experienced mastering engineer, started out cutting records back in the 60's!

Cheers, Mark

Hello
Unbelievable that it’s already such a long time since we have been in contact for the last time. I am still very impressed by your profile – wow really amazing stuff. Currently I am pretty exited as I have just now released my first solo double album “An Ocean Of Dreams”. It would be a real honour and pleasure for me if you could give it a listen and if you have some time leave me a comment with your thoughts about my baby.
I say thanks in advance and wish you all the best for 2009

dig it brother- I'm spending cash like one day I'm going to die. Bought me a dobro, sniffing around for a Fender Twin Reverb of the silverface variety (you know, the kind with balls the size of coconuts), and may end up with a Taylor just to dig myself in as deep as possible. That's what Berkeley is doing for me: preparing me for my next phase of Being as a professional steel guitarist in a Hall & Oates cover band called "Space Elevator". BUT- I need your blessing Mr. Jack "Budokan" Van Maastrict. Teach me the ways of the steely eyed ones and I promise Ctulhu won't eat your heart.
