L'Orchestre Symphonique de Mérignac, formation du Conservatoire Municipal de la Ville de Mérignac (agglomération de Bordeaux) regroupe 50 à 60 musiciens issus des classes d'instrument du Conservatoire de Mérignac ainsi que des adultes amateurs et reçoit le renfort ponctuel de musiciens professionnels. Depuis sa création en 2000, l'Orchestre Symphonique de Mérignac, sous la direction d'Eric Roulet puis de Pascal Apparailly, s'est produit dans de nombreuses salles de concerts à Mérignac (Pin Galant, Krakatoa, salle de la Glacière) et dans l'agglomération bordelaise (Salle du Solarium de Gradignan, Carré des Jalles de Saint-Médard-en-Jalles, ...) ainsi que dans des églises, en plein air (Parcs de la Ville de Mérignac, Place du Parlement à Bordeaux...) et même en Espagne en 2004, dans le cadre d'un échange entre les orchestres des villes jumelées de Merignac et Vilanova i la Geltrù (Catalogne).

The Mérignac Symphony Orchestra, part of the Municipal Conservatoire of the town of Mérignac (on the outskirts of Bordeaux), brings together 50 to 60 musicians from instrument classes at the Conservatoire of Mérignac, as well as amateur musicians, and receives the occasional support of professional musicians. Since it was founded in the year 2000 under the direction of Eric Roulet, then under Pascal Apparailly, the Mérignac Symphony Orchestra has performed in a number of concert halls across Mérignac, such as Pin Galant, Krakatoa and Salle de la Glacière. The orchestra has also had many concerts in Bordeaux and its suburbs, for example at the Salle du Solarium in Gradignan and Carré des Jalles in Saint-Médard-en-Jalles. In addition, the orchestra has performed in churches, outdoors in parks across Mérignac, and at the Place du Parlement in Bordeaux centre. It has even performed in Spain during an exchange in 2004 with an orchestra from Vilanova i la Geltrù, Catalogne, town twinned with Mérignac.

We've just added two new blogs about Umano, plus four more new compositions, making ten on our space. We hope you and your friends visit us and enjoy our music, too.
We wake up every morning and play the music of the new MySpace friends who have arrived at our site during the night. It occurred to us that these friends (you are among them) are almost universally positive, whether they be novices or legends, and without regard to their station in life or the country they occupy.
Although it's not an original thought, it also occurred to us that we couldn’t hold a verbal conversation with most of these friends, but we have bridged that gap by expressing our art honestly with each other.
We all have been filling the world with our music and art, in the hope that our messages of love and human understanding will have an impact on the world at large.
What a gift and what an opportunity we have received from this technology!
