I took the 5th legion into the Pictish Wilderness on a military expedition to halt the pict assaults against the Aquilonian border villages. Although the picts fought hard, we emerged victorious! For a more complete accounting of the battle, read the following blog link:
Here I am sparring with the soldiers, training for our incursion into the Pictish Wilderness in a few days. We are working with the battle axe, longsword and the bow. I am afraid I might have maimed a few of my men during the training exercise however.
Tomorrow I will have my commanders begin training the troops with the Pike!
