About me: Visit our website at www.oregonelitecheer.com
Oregon Elite is one of the most successful cheerleading programs in Oregon. From our first competition in the fall of 2003, Oregon Elite has been the team to beat. As the program has grown and the teams have expanded, these athletes always strive to be “the best of the best.” Through competitions, performances, and practices, we work to develop the whole athlete - physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Although it is very important that Oregon Elite help its athletes improve their skills and reach their athletic potential, we believe our program serves a higher purpose. It is our program’s goal to teach its athletes how to work together as a team. Whether in their professional or social life, these athletes will be put in situations where they must work together with others to achieve common goals. Teamwork is a life lesson much more valuable than any cheerleading skill. Although Oregon Elite has won numerous national championships, trophies, and medals, more important are the lessons that each athlete learns about sportsmanship, working together towards goals, and striving to win. We are very proud of our athletes for being known for their talent on the mat and high morals off of the mat.
Who I'd like to meet: People don't do cheerleading because it's fun.
Ask any cheerleader, most of them will tell you they hate it,
but their life wouldn't be anything without it.
It's what they live for. They live for the trips to the airport,
long plane rides, the parties,
the dinners, the banquets,
the undefined amount of braces, tapes,
hairspray, the disgusting amount of glitter
and the unexplainable need for 6 inhalers.
They live for the way they have stupid rituals
that are silly but always manage to push them into first place.
They live for marking the routine countless times.
They live for sound effects, old fashioned songs remixed,
sayings, and rhyming cheers.
They live for walking past another team and seeing the fear in their eyes.
They live for knowing they are the best in the nation. They live for the competition, the friends,
the practices, the memories, the pain,
and the strangers who became a family.
Even with the overload on lipstick, and the rush of nervousness,
they live for it. It's who they are.
