Oren Music....The ever evolving musical influences that have been shaping my artistic speech patterns have brought me to here, this moment in time where music is abundant and fulfilling. Three projects working gives so much diversity to what I am playing so it's always fun to play and there's lots of different opportunities to meet, see, and talk to all kinds of people. Let me tell you a little about my projects.
The Karma Issue:
This band has been evolving into something larger than the sum of it's parts as musical excellence and passion are the driving forces behind this group. Groundbreaking originals and great premium choice, grade A, certified crowd pleasing covers by groups such as Sublime, Lenny Kravitz, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Grateful Dead and Bob Marley to name a few, and the list is always growing. The Karma Issue features Oren Polak on guitar, Max Koteen on bass and Joe Nelson on the drums. Come see what The Karma Issue has become and will be.
Cheap Date:
All fun, every show is high energy rock and roll. Everything you want to sing and dance to while you're hanging out with some friends throwing a few back. Soul chilling vocals, screaming guitar, earth shattering bass, and pocket grooves makes for a rock and roll night. Playing everything from AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Aerosmith and Def Leopard to Fall Out Boy, Blink 182, Green Day and Maroon 5. Jim Shields on the front mic, Oren Polak on guitar, Todd Essex on bass and Chris Dye on drums. This band is hot so get out to a show near you, and by the way, we're always adding new covers to keep it interesting so you never know what you're going to see.
Acoustic Shows:
This is when Oren and Max from The Karma Issue go out and just play and sing songs you want to hear. Acoustic guitar, wicked bass lines and great harmonies set this duo apart as they play tunes from Steve Miller band, CCR, Johnny Cash, Weezer, Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, U2, John Mayer, John Mellencamp and Tom Petty. No doubt this is a party, and don't be fooled by the acoustic guitar, we have no musical fears. If we know it we'll try it.I hope there is something here that can quench your thirst for music, I know I truly enjoy playing with every group in each setting. Find your favorite and come say hi.
