The Bio:
ORGANIC: Having an organization similar in its complexity to that of living things.
FUNK: An earthy quality appreciated in music such as jazz or soul, down-to-earth soulfully expressed sounds; related to the real nitty-gritty or fundamental essence of life, soul to the max.
What do they do?
Live art! New on the spot music every time they play. Music that can never, will never be recreated, to be there is to be a part of the creation. Organic Funk delivers an explosive sound that is fresh and innovative with the ability not only to move you, but to take you on trips you will long remember.
Brothers, Michael Costantini (Vocals,Guitar), Jason Costantini (Drums) have been honing their groove for over a decade. They recently started working with Alan Zemaitis (Keys) and Jim O’brien (Bass, Sax, Vocals). Now in their early twenties they deliver electrifying live shows with hip slapping rhythms and heart pounding riffs, combining the energy of Rock n' Roll, and the rhythms of classic funk and reggae that keeps fans coming back for more. Their lyrics make you think, and their music is a relief for your ears, mind and soul. Music can and has changed the world and Organic Funk aims to continue in that fine tradition. Young, dynamic and hungry, these are three musicians you will be hearing about in the months and years to come.
In January 2008 they released their debut album 'When it Began", a self recorded and produced album, mixed by Liam Webster (Engineer for Collin James) and mastered by The Lacquer Channel. In the summer of 2007 the band was asked to write music for Tribute Entertainment's award winning documentary, "Sharkwater". The bands energetic live performances gained them the votes to the Final Round for Ontario in the Emergenza Battle of the Bands. In May 2007 Jason Costantini produced a groundbreaking music video for the song Two Times using an innovative technique never seen before in film. Their following continues to grow exponentially as they make a lasting impact with their live shows and their inspiring studio work.
They plan to tour Ontario in the near future and have been working on their new album in between live shows.
Be part of the evolution of a musical revolution. Your energy moves us. It is dynamic. Be there and be part of the creation Keep in touch! Stay tuned!
