Pleasant Greetings to you and yours;

My name is Marie Myers. I have 5 children from the age 28 on down to 17 as of the end of 2010. I have 2 beautiful grandson's 9 and 3 years old. And a beautiful grand daughter who is 8. I also have a step-daughter age 10. My children are multi-racial huge hearts for people and family members.

I believe that everything negative can be turned into a positive. I know this from experiences that has been given to me throughout my life. My children also believe this. There is a reason for everything, most of us do not know how to get the right answer. When you really want something, you have to want it bad enough to get it no matter what you have to deal with in order to achieve your goals.

Take a look at a baby when they want something. The baby will go to no limits in order to get what they want. My children was like this the whole time and they still are. If it pours on you, make it pour out the positive and wash away the negative. I am a strong willed woman with compassion.

I have many interests. I love car and truck shows. I like working with tools, mainly saws and hammers. I like the colors pink, shades of greens and browns, black, chrome, silver, copper, and white. I like Victorian lace and cotton. I like my home to be people friendly and just cheery enough to not be dark but I keep my bedroom dark. I like gardening but I'm not so gentle and it works and I get tanned. I love chocolate, sandwich wraps, ice cream, frozen latte, and coffee. I love the look and scent of fresh natural things. I like doing crafts such as blending lace and wood, folk-art painting, some weaving, crochet, and light sewing. I like making something out of nothing.

I like a little of mostly all types of music including regeton and salsa. Yes! I do dance and know how to dance Spanish. I like meeting and helping people online and in person. I speak what is now called Spanglish (as my daughter puts it), which is broken Spanish. I am from the Philadelphia/South Jersey area. I am a city girl with the touch of suburban.

I am a former Italian Sautee' cook, Assistant Chef, and Fast Food Restaurant Manager. I am a multitasker. I earned an Associates Degree in Administrative Technology. I have also become my own boss. I am a business owner. I work in my home when I want.

I had it tough most of my life as did many but I am of a few that does not know the meaning of the phrase .. give up... I refuse to give in to the ugliness that people have created on this earth because I can see that the beauty out-weighs the ugly.

The best way to get through the negative is to continue to stay positive, even if you have to act as if. If you play the part, it will become apart of who you are. Even if you are not into religion, think about the things that Christ had to deal with. Think about how He got through it all. He was killed by His own people whom He loved and helped, killed Him for the simple reason of having a gift.

Everyone has a gift. Most of us have not opened our eyes and hearts enough to realize what that gift is. Your gift is your talents, strengths, knowledge, and wisdom. That is why us older folks recite the phrase ..they are to young to understand... The next time you hear that phrase, ask them to explain it to you so that you may learn from them.
