True or False? Getting your hair trimmed frequently makes it grow faster?

False: Your hair grows from the root, not the tip, so while having your hair trimmed frequently will remove split ends and prevent the damage from moving further up the hair shaft, it does not stimulate growth. The key to optimum growth is healthy hair. This can be achieved by deep conditioning treatments like Nourishing Coconut Milk Instant Repair Treatment and protecting against the heat of styling tools with a thermal protectant like Soft & Silky Vanilla Silk Blow Dry Cream.

Love the funky new braid trend? Stars love the look, like Jennifer Aniston, Anne Hathaway, and Isla Fisher. Here is how to do it!
    French Braiding 101:
    1. Isolate the hair you want braided and hold in one hand. Divide it into three sections, separating with fingers.
    2. Cross the right section over the middle piece. Repeat this step with the left section.
    3. Combine a chunk equal in size to the right section. Cross over the middle piece and repeat with the left side.
    4. Continue until just above the ear. Then braid normally until you reach the ends and secure.

In honor of Shampoo Day... Did you know that Shampoo originated in England in 1877 and was derived from the Hindi word champo, meaning "to massage" or "to knead." Hairdressers were the first to make shampoo by boiling soft soap in soda water, but it did not come into popular use until after World War II.

For those edgy short cuts, play with texture.  To achieve Halle Berry's texture, try Organix Pomegranate Green Tea Styling Whip for definition and a flat iron to smooth.

For Camilla Belle's flippy bob, slick down the front of your hair with Nourishing Coconut Milk Styling Cream and then curl the ends up and out.

Hair too straight??? To loosen flat ironed hair like Jennifer Lopez's, try sleeping with your hair in a bun. In the morning, take out and smooth with a serum like Organix Smoothing Shea Butter Liquid Glass.
