The music steadily represents no particular sound or genre. Each song is an island. Each island is made of rock.
Organ Thief is the ugly offspring of odd-couple Brian Costner and Kirk Rawlings. For years the two stumbled through various bands and musical ensembles, finally landing under the Thief moniker in 2004. With rhythm section Tom Arndt and Dik LeDoux, they self-released their debut album Orphan Teeth in 2005. After the departure of Arndt and LeDoux in 2007, drummer Tony Sojourner joined the band. The three began recording new material together. Just before this year’s release of two EP’s, How to Run a China Shop and Stolen Songs, Californian import Keith Chandler joined the band as its new bass player. With the line-up solidified, the band looks forward to looking forward.
