At times a kaleidoscopic soundtrack for high-risk behavior: indulgences in vice alternately presented as legitimate male rites of passage and as the cold rush of extreme sports. instruments and non-instruments combine to create dark atmospheres where altered states of body and mind are celebrated and codified. At other times pure aural catarsis providing a peek into the exhaustion of crippling lethargy and the brain chemical reactions leading to clinical depression.
Founded in 2002 as another chapter in the ongoing collaborative works of Eric Hofferber and Emil Hagstrom, who previously recorded and performed as The Amputease (1994-1997). Origami Genitalia is part of the international subversive arts organization Origami Republika, founded in 2000 by legendary Norwegian artist Töre Bøe.
