ABBA GOLD were features on the BBC program "How to get you dream job" in 2006.
The program was about a girl called Cheryl who was so nervous at interviews, so the production team thought of ways for her to build up her confidence. One way was to perform live onstage with a professional band.
ABBA GOLD had worked with the BBC on numerous occasions, so they asked ABBA GOLD 's Management if the band could perform a special set in London and if Cheryl could perform a song with them.
Cheryl was absolutly terrified but managed to perform "Knowing me, Knowing you" live in stage with ABBA GOLD and dispite her nerves, did a fantastic job!
ABBA GOLD were also mentioned in the recent Channel 5 program "The decade that was: The 70's"

Members of ABBA GOLD have many musical heroes and influences ranging from The Beatles to Metallica, from Dream Theater to Zappa to Racmaninov and Shostakovich!

Mark's main influence: Zakk Wylde and Dragonforce. Mark also loves, and dearly misses Dimebag Darrell (R.I.P)
Andy's main influence: ELP.
Emma's main influence: Celine Dion.
Anthony's main influence: Yngwie Malmsteen (especially his cover of Gimmie! Gimmie! Gimmie!). Yngwie has always said Gimmie! is his favorite riff of all time.

ABBA GOLD have been touring the world constantly for many many years, with the current line-up being the same for the last 10 years.
They have performed their live show to nearly 2 million people, played over 2700 gigs and have been on live television and radio worldwide too many times to mention.
The largest show ABBA GOLD ever performed was to was when they headlined a huge festival in 2001 in Aberdeen in front of 93,000 screaming fans.
Also on the bill was Gareth Gates, Darius, Hear'say, The Sugababes and Blazing Squad. And yes, ABBA GOLD WERE the headlining act!!
ABBA GOLD have also sold more tickets than Westlife! This happened when ABBA GOLD played at a venue in County Durham and sold it out. Westlife were there a few month before and didnt sell out.
ABBA GOLD have also worked on the same festival bills as Atomic Kitten, Liberty X, Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, Slade, Sweet, Dr. And The Medics, The Tremolos and many many more.
Through out their long career, ABBA GOLD have had many support acts, including 2 Eurovision Song Contest winners!
These are the 1981 winners Bucks Fizz and the 1976 winners Brotherhood of Man.
They were also supported on a theatre tour by Ian Moore, who as Chris DeBurgh, won the Stars In Their Eyes Champion of Champions.
ABBA GOLD headlined a 2 year UK tour with support coming from Boney M and Bucks Fizz.
ABBA GOLD also star in the original DANCING QUEEN show which has been touring Germany, Switzerland and Austria for the last 4 years.
ABBA GOLD 's show has been seen by many famous people, including Sir Richard Branson and Sir Alan Sugar.
In 2007 they toured and performed their "Stunning Stage Tribute to ABBA" in The UK, The Channel Islands, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, The Ukraine and a huge show at The Olympisky Stadium in Moscow, Russia.
80% of these shows were sold out. One venue in Werne, Germany sold out in less that 48 hours.
The Olympisky Stadium in Moscow, Russia was the largest indoor venue that ABBA GOLD performed in during 2007.
In 2007 ABBA GOLD also played the New Wembley Stadium!
Through out their career, in addition to all the countries they played in 2007, ABBA GOLD have also performed in France, Portugal, Spain, Estonia, Bahrain, UAE and South Africa.
In 2008 there are dates and tours have been played and are still planned in The UK, Ireland, The Channel Islands, Germany, Belgium, France, Holland, Kazachstan, Greece, Malta and Italy.
ABBA GOLD can honestly say that is is the greatest honor to have been playing ABBA's magical music for such a long time.

I already felt bad as it was.
So I put on my suit and curled up on the couch
I think I fell asleep..but I had decided to do something about it
I took one of the versions of 'The Easter Bunny Hates You'
and edited out the graphic parts and changed the audio.
So to all of those people who have poked me or pulled my tail
Be Warned..The next 'Furrie' you poke or pull on..
May have an attitude..or had his video rejected..

Agnetha Fältskog’s birthday is April 5th. She’s one of my favorite divas! I invited five of my other favorite divas, including her singing partner from ABBA, Frida Lyngstad, to help me prepare a birthday celebration for her.
Lindsay Wagner’s in charge of inviting all the guests to the birthday party... OH NO, she invited the Bionic Bigfoot. The only bionic person I asked her to invite was the Six Million Dollar Man. The Bionic Bigfoot better behave himself at the party and not break anything!
Ginger Rogers and her husband Jack Briggs are in charge of the outdoor barbeque. It looks like they’re having trouble lighting up the grill. I don’t know if this birthday party is going to work or not.
Shirley Jones is in charge of the Clambake. It looks like she’s taking a break from digging up clams. “Please get back to work, Shirley!”
Oh great, what else could go wrong? I hope Doris Day and her husband Martin Melcher have finished baking Agnetha’s birthday cake…. OH NO, they’re eating the birthday cake themselves! “HEY, that cake’s for Agnetha – stop eating it!”
Well, I guess as long as Frida and Agnetha don’t act like rivals the birthday party will be a success. Yep, it looks like they’re going to get along fabulously for the party! Maybe they’ll sing some ABBA songs :)
