As some of you may know, and most don’t, Original Lineup are throwing in the towel. After 3 years, 1 demo, and half an album later (it’s not finished yet), we have decided to change our structure and our style. So really we’re not splitting up, but as for the Original Lineup side of things, its over.
We decided this mainly because we play music for fun, not to make anything from it, so why not do what we really want to do? Not that we didn’t enjoy Original Lineup, we really, really did, but we feel like its time for a change.
So, from on all us in the Original Lineup camp, we would like to sincerely thank everyone for your support. Especially Andrew McGuinness for his excellent support by giving us countless gigs in the Zoo, write ups in the paper, and helping us get onto the Kilkenny Music Scene, Evan, our No. 1 Fan , the boys at KKM.com for their great help and support, and finally a huge thank you to everyone who came to our gigs, everyone who supported us in the BOTB, every band we’ve played with on stage, everyone who helped us in every way.

Well things in the 9Lies camp are upto the 9's, so I will make this a quick one to let you know that the first ever 9Lies all digital single release 'Touch the Sky' will be available from today :).
We are totaly excited as it is not only our first official single but our first ever release since signing with Evil Twin Records, and whats more, its a secret!
There will be no whistles and bells or mad media airplay, because we havent actually told anyone apart from your good selves! Crazy?? Well its a little cog in a bigger wheel! All will become clear in the months to come, and your apart of it.

The song itself I feel Starts out as a moody mother, with a kick drum to match your racing heart, then it all happens, kicking up a rocking gear and taking you on a road trip lyrically from A to B as the songs runs, with twists and turns along the way. See what you make of it!

Yeah it'd be cool if ye could bring another one cuz we've only the one. The only bass amp we have is a fuckin ridiculously big yolk tho, ye don't have a smaller one do ye?
Yeah it'll be some craic alright, can't wait to bust a few tunes out of it! A good night of original rock and fuckin roll!! We just had our 2nd practice tonight with our new sticksman and alls goin well anyway so we should be rockin by the gig! Lookin forward to hearin some of that stuff ye're doin in the mill. One of these days I'm sure we'll manage to record somethin!
