You may notice that there is now a Snocap store on this page. The tracks for sale therein are from our Silly Image Pillowhead album, which is sort of a "best of" our home recordings from 1986-1993. The tunes in the Standalone player, by contrast, are recent recordings--not even released yet! So take your pick--the Silly Pillows of today or the Silly Pillows of yesteryear. Something for everyone!

Caws-Elwitt living-room pop is back! Jonathan and Hilary . . . early practitioners of DIY tweepunk, lo-fi layer-cake arrangements, boy-girl vocals, and, yes, retro eyeglasses . . . well, would you believe they're in their forties now? But their music still has the same youthful exuberance as when they began -- and even many of the same chords.
Hilary and Jonathan have been together as a couple since 1983. As a musical entity, they were the original Silly Pillows, a lo-fi indiepop band that made home recordings beginning in 1986. In late 1992, Hilary decided to stop participating in the music. During the next 8 years, Jonathan's Silly Pillows expanded, spruced up, recorded, gigged, and finally disbanded. In fall of 2005, Hilary became interested in singing once again, and the Original Silly Pillows were re-born!
