  • Bio

.. .. .. ..ORIGINAL SIN were formed in New York in 1986. Their producer was David DeFeis from VIRGIN STEELE a.k.a. ' The Lion'. .. ..Nobody of the girls seemed to have actually played on the record exept for singer "Danielle Draconis" - some sources claim that the rest of the musicans were the same as those behind EXORCIST(US). Danielle Draconis is a pseudonym, there are hints that the person behind it is one of the sisters of David DeFeis, Danae DeFeis. She is also active in a rock band, called "STALK", which is not very well known outside of New York and the american east coast. There are no clues about the identity of the other women so far... Fact is that ORIGINAL SIN came out of nowhere (there was no demo before or other release later) and vanished after their only release. .. ..They split-up in 1987, shortly after the release of "Sin will find you out", their only album which was released through Grudge records in connection with Cobra records. Grudge records also released "Metal Inquisition" and "Stay Ugly" by PILEDRIVER and "Nightmare Theatre" by EXORCIST(US). .. David deFeis was the songwriter of the band. He wrote "Conjuration of the Watcher" and "Succubus", other sources claim that he wrote the whole ORIGINAL SIN album. He wrote the whole EXORCIST album as well. Exorcist consisted of Virgin Steele members with different pseudonyms, bandname and style. They performed under the name EXORCIST due to problems with the name "Virgin Steele", which belongs to Jack Starr(BURNING STARR, former guitar player of VIRGIN STEELE) at that point and because of a difference in style. Like Original Sin, Exorcist played Speed Metal. .. .."Conjuration of the Watcher" and "Succubus" were re-recorded by VIRGIN STEELE on their compilation release "The Book of Burning" in 2002... ..There was an official release of "Sin will find you out" in 2005, as a Split album together with DEATHWISH(UK), limited to 500 copies by the chilenian based label Keltic Records...
