One of the most striking things you notice when you first meet Orla Feeney, is her confident glow and cheeky grin. The passion of electronic music has been in her blood for years, from her days underage clubbing at the infamous Temple Theatre, Dublin, to her present position, rapidly climbing the ranks of the ever-evolving clubbing circuit.
Not particularly one for stereotypes, Feeney has strayed far from the path of 'Blonde Bimbo Hard Dance Vixen'. Instead, Orla lays down tough layers of groove and percussion with uplifting trance riffs.
Ireland's new prodigy has held regular slots on Dublin's SPIN 1038 FM station and more recently, joined Ireland's National Broadcaster RTE with her show 'Taster' on RTE Pulse.
Booking wise, Orla has headlined gigs all over Ireland, as well as on the International circuit. She was the first Irish female DJ to play both Planet Love Festival's North and South in the same year and not only festivals in Ireland, but 'Trnkobraní - Open Air Festival' at Bílá Hlína Slušovice in the Czech Republic.
Adding to that, weekly gigs in cities Dublin, Cork, Belfast and International gigs from Ibiza to Scotland, to Prague - the foundations are well in place for Orla Feeney to rise to the top DJ/producer ranks. Between gigs, radio shows and spending quality time in the studio, there's certainly much more to come as we see Feeney’s career expand from Irish up and coming talent, to one of the most exciting new International DJ/producers on the global dance scene.
Orla Feeney is without doubt a DJ/Producer you don't want to miss and one to keep an eye and ear on.
