I am delighted to announce the release of my debut album Melting Snow, available from Custy's music shop, Ennis and soon at www.orlaharrington.com. The album, produced by Eoin O'Neill and Quentin Cooper at Bed Studios, consists of thirteen tracks, a range of Reels, Jigs, Slip Jigs, Hornpipes and Set Dance.
I am joined by guest musicians Eoin O'Neill (Bouzouki), Quentin Cooper (Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo and Bouzouki), Martin O'Brien (Concertina), Sean Murphy (Accordion), Denis McAuliffe (Mandolin) and my brother, Colm (fiddle).
Sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to this production. In particular my brother Colm for his impact and work on the design & layout. Liam Chivers for the sleeve design. Thanks also to those who attended the launch on St. Stephen's Day at Setrights Tavern, Cratloe for the first unveiling! Here I was accompanied on Bouzouki by Fu Akamine and all guest musicians. We had a great support from the local community, Ennis, Miltown, Limerick, Tipperary and Kerry!
The Official Album Launch took place at Cois na hAbhna, Ennis on Friday Jan 23rd. It was a great success and sincere thanks to everyone who came and to those who bought a CD on the night. We all enjoyed a session afterward which took us into the early hours. Thanks to family and friends who prepared refreshments. Greatly appreciated.
