Tim Hoffman, or The Sports Comedian as he is known in some parts(these parts are his own apartment), is a 22 year-old blogger and web addict from Orlando, FL. He is a graduate from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor's in Radio-Television. He has yet to put this degree to any tangible use, but he is planning on it one day, Maybe.
He currently works at a radio station in Orlando and does comedy writing on the side. His current projects aside from SportsComedian.com include a flash cartoon that may or may not ever get completed called "The Odd Network" and his hobby of collecting things that are awesome. The second project is very tough, as the things which are awesome has changed many times. At one point pogs were awesome, as was tamagotchi. Those were sad points.
His experience in comedy is vast. He did improv at the SAK Comedy Lab for a year. He hosted a radio show in college called Talk-Comedy Live for 2 years. For that program he did hilarious discussions of current events, did live stunts around campus, and wrote and performed scripted sketches.
He was the head writer and a featured performer of the sketch comedy troupe "7 Utahrians & A Bottle Of Sproke", which had two online shows in 2001, back before everyone was posting videos. That's right, our crappy videos were first, what of it?! He also has written 4 scripts for an unproduced sketch show called "Tijercia" and 10 episodes of the aforementioned and unanimated "The Odd Network".
His favorite sports teams vary greatly from sport to sport. This is because he chose them randomly when he became a fan, instead of merely going blindly with the home teams. They are the Cincinnati Bengals, Colorado Rockies, Washington Wizards, Anaheim Ducks, and Central Florida Knights. So if you notice some blog bias towards those teams it's because they rock. They rock like Bon Jovi. I played my part, and you played your game, you give love a bad name. That is some hardcore shit. Sing it Bon!
A lot of people say to him "Hey Frank! What are your favorite television shows?"(A lot of people strangely and mistakenly call him Frank.[It's even stranger that he doesn't correct them.{Speaking of strangers, Perfect Strangers was a great show./There are no more brackets on the keyboard so we'll stop there..}]) His favorite shows, in no particular order are: Farscape, Sports Night, West Wing, Stargate SG-1, Star Trek: TNG, South Park, and pretty much anything else having to deal with space or American politics. He is still waiting for the show "White House In Space", but he feels it may come one day.
His favorite types of jokes in order of kick-ass-ness are poop jokes, gay jokes, racial jokes, fat jokes, and Cameron Manheim jokes. Also an honerable mention to jokes involving the space-time continuum, as that is a complicated concept and challenging to lampoon.
This is the end of the bio. Goodbye
