Tomorrow afternoon we go into the studio to start tracking the drums. It's been a long wait but we're finally ready to lay down some heavy doom metal. For guitars on this recording I'm thinking about mixing the sounds of my Laney with some vintage Silvertone and Ampeg amps from the 60's.
Last but not least....we are currently out of DVDs and only have 7 small Claw Tower shirts left!

Orodruin is a doom metal band that plays original DOOM METAL under the influence of Trouble, Saint Vitus, early Cathedral, Candlemass, Pentagram, and Witchfinder General. The band was founded by guitarist John Gallo in 1998 alongside friends Mike Puleo(vocals and bass) and Nick Tydelski(guitar). Their first demo was released in 1999. In 2001 they recruited Mike Waske on drums and recorded their debut album, "Epicurean Mass", which was officially released on Austrian label psycheDOOMelic Records in 2003. The album received great enthusiastic feedback within the doom metal scene and quickly landed them a spot on the US Doomination tour alongside Mourning Beloveth, and The Prophecy. Later that year they released a split 12" with Reverend Bizarre through Hellride Music. In 2004 they toured Europe with doom metal veterans, Penance, where they premiered at the Doom Shall Rise II festival. They released an exclusive tour EP entitled "Clawtower" also on psycheDOOMelic Records.
Doom will never die, DOOMRAISER too! As one door closes, another opens. Valerio has decided to leave the band; he wants to concentrate more on his other projects. We all wish Valerio the best of luck with his new vocation. He was, and remains, a formidable guitarist and was an integral part of DOOMRAISER.
However, it is with great pleasure that DOOMRAISER announce that Valerio’s replacement is to be none other than our good friend and brother, the fearsomely talented musician Willer. He played bass with evil blacksters Grimness and he’s involved in Black Land, an awesome and obscure heavy psychedelic band from Rome. Practices have been going very well, and Willer is already adding a new, acid and exciting dimension to the band as a whole. His first gig will be at Sinister Noise Club in Rome on the 21th November: a special and drunken night celebrating the birthday of one of the most important Italian underground rock scene club!
