Janey DeMeo is the founder of Orphans First based in America and "Sauver les Enfants" in France. Married to the founder of one of the largest Bible Institutes in France, Louis DeMeo, they lived as missionaries in southern France since 1982,and then moved to spend a season in America at the end of 2003.
While working alongside her husband in missions, teaching women at the Institut Théologique de Nimes, and mothering their two children, Janey often traveled to different parts of the world to evangelize and initiate church planting with her husband. In many of the different countries, her heart was broken for the children.

Seeing misery everywhere from the third world to the luxurious west, Janey developed an increasing burden for suffering children and began praying for them doing all she could to help any she came across. For this purpose, "Sauver les Enfants" was created in France. This organization has been a springboard to send packages to different third world countries at Christmastime to send out clothes, toys and food for orphans in varying countries through varying means and to help meet the needs of war victim children. Then, several years back, Pastor Bob White - spiritual father of the Grace Home orphanage in Guntur, India - asked Janey to consider taking responsibility for the support of the children there. Supporters were originally raised in the "Eglise Evangélique de la Grace" in the Nîmes/Montpellier area of France, of which Louis DeMeo is founder and pastor.
But as other children in the world began needing support (such as in Europe and Africa), the need to seek more support, particularly stateside, became evident, giving birth to ORPHANS FIRST in October 1998. Thus, both organizations function in a complementary way. Orphans First is particularly for those wishing support via America. Although the corporations are still small, the vision is great and more children are being added to the list of those needing sponsorship - including street children in Guntur, India, in Bombay, and in Africa.

British born, Janey graduated with her bachelors degree from Maryland Bible College and Seminary and now has her Masters of Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary. (Her husband Louis has his Masters of Divinity also from LRS). Janey and her husband are presently teaching at Calvary Chapel Bible College in southern California.
