Janey is also a freelance writer and author. Her writings include the following: a book on biblical parenting (published in French by Vida (1995) entitled "Mon Dieu, ces enfants!" and self-published in English), several booklets on prayer, suffering, perspective and parenting, co-authoring several books on children, teens etc. and articles in various magazines including Discipleship Journal, Focus on the Family magazine, Sports Spectrum, Charisma, World Christian, Pulpit Helps, Brio, Breakaway, Brio Plus, Single Parent magazine and various Francophone publications and other European publications.

Among the 300-400 million child slaves there millions of sexually abused children. As Christians - the body of Christ on earth - we should feel concerned. This handbook helps us know how to get involved, how to pray, how to help. Janey DeMeo is author of Chapter 12 of this book and highlights the importance of the church family reaching out to these children. She gives some practical tips on how to do this.

Janey DeMeo is the founder of Orphans First based in America and "Sauver les Enfants" in France. Married to the founder of one of the largest Bible Institutes in France, Louis DeMeo, they lived as missionaries in southern France since 1982,and then moved to spend a season in America at the end of 2003. While working alongside her husband in missions, teaching women at the Institut Théologique de Nimes, and mothering their two children, Janey often traveled to different parts of the world to evangelize and initiate church planting with her husband. In many of the different countries, her heart was broken for the children.
Seeing misery everywhere from the third world to the luxurious west, Janey developed an increasing burden for suffering children and began praying for them doing all she could to help any she came across. For this purpose, "Sauver les Enfants" was created in France. This organization has been a springboard to send packages to different third world countries at Christmastime to send out clothes, toys and food for orphans in varying countries through varying means and to help meet the needs of war victim children. Then, several years back, Pastor Bob White - spiritual father of the Grace Home orphanage in Guntur, India - asked Janey to consider taking responsibility for the support of the children there. Supporters were originally raised in the "Eglise Evangélique de la Grace" in the Nîmes/Montpellier area of France, of which Louis DeMeo is founder and pastor.
But as other children in the world began needing support (such as in Europe and Africa), the need to seek more support, particularly stateside, became evident, giving birth to ORPHANS FIRST in October 1998. Thus, both organizations function in a complementary way. Orphans First is particularly for those wishing support via America. Although the corporations are still small, the vision is great and more children are being added to the list of those needing sponsorship - including street children in Guntur, India, in Bombay, and in Africa.
British born, Janey graduated with her bachelors degree from Maryland Bible College and Seminary and now has her Masters of Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary. (Her husband Louis has his Masters of Divinity also from LRS). Janey and her husband are presently teaching at Calvary Chapel Bible College in southern California.

Holiday greetings from the hearts of the African orphans to your heart. How overwhelmed the orphans would be if they could see for themselves the bounty that most of us take for granted. How overwhelmed we would be if we had to live for one day in the extreme poverty on the streets of the cities and villages in Africa!
Orphans who are blessed to have been taken into an orphanage have been given a gift from someone who decided to sponsor an orphan and share their plenty with an orphan child who had nothing.

4) Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy].
5) But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.
He paid the Price for us - so we can walk in Victory - Hallelujah!!!
I love the Amplifieds expansion on Verse 5:

Glory to God - He was motivated to be Crucified - with a NEED to OBTAIN our Peace!!!
