   About Orphidice

Orphidice explores music in the worlds of ambient, electronic, progressive, and many other areas of experimental music. From influences such as Bass Communion, Brian Eno, David Sylvian, Boards of Canada and Tangerine Dream, the music of Orphidice finds a space between all of these.

The new Orphidice album Transit takes the ambient nature of Love Is Alive and expands on its melodic approach, combining elements of electronic music, down-tempo, progressive rock, avant-garde and beautiful soundscapes.

_______

The companion EP to the Transit album is now available for FREE download from MrsVee, a fantastic independent art/rock/electronic label in the UK. The EP contains six tracks, including two brand Orphidice songs and two new remixes, including a new version of Lives In Motion, featuring Daniel Vincent of The Resonance Association.

Sounds good. I know I start training for my teaching position on the 6th and it will be ongoing for a few more months but hopefully we can work something out. the extra coin i make from taking those paid surveys online helps out alot tho; you should really do them too; i mean, hey, the extra money comes in handy, right? i guess you'll have to type the link into internet explorer or whatever, but here it is:

www.work4surveybling.com

I prolly won't have anything going on that weekend so if nothing else, maybe I can get back to town for a few days then. If I can work it out, you'll have to meet 'em too. Talk to ya later buddy.
Keep me updated!

Dear friend
We are so happy to announce

NEW ALBUM IS OUT NOW!!!

Our new album "Herbarium" is out now on CdBaby (MP3 so far, physical CD is on its way).

Diverse palette of styles (post-rock, ambient, electronica, trip-hop, with elements of noise, dub, neoclassic and free improvisation), united by cinematic, slightly pensive mood.

«Herbarium» is called so because of heterogeneity of «songs», which can be compared to miscellaneous leaves in the album, still being belonged to the family of trees. Trying to avoid non-alive metaphors here, only thought of diversity and warm and innermost feeling that herbarium is capable to conjure up. «... This leaf I picked up in the park where I met her, and this - I sat by the river, contemplating...». So tracks were created – one was captured in some magic jam, another – recorded layer by layer and meticulously mixed then, next – cut from previous sessions and so on.

All compositions are united by Poostosh sense of music – mostly pensive, spatial, tender and experimental. There's a lot of soul and charisma in every leaf... So please let your soul look over our HERBARIUM.

Thanks! I'm actually a big PT fan; that's how I found your music; I'm on ptforum. co. uk, and I found your stuff through mrsvee. I love your sounds too, I got your Coming Home EP off of mrsvee. Great stuff. I'm working on a new album right now that you'd probably enjoy, less folk-rock based and a little more experimental.
