Orq. LA 8 SIXTY plays what the Latin Culture calls
"SALSA DURA" (Hard Classic Salsa) which is the Salsa that evolved
in the early 1970's and early 1980's with the great artists like the music
of FANIA ALL STARS, TITO PUENTE, RAY BARRETTO, HECTOR LAVOE, EL GRAN COMBO,

RAY RODRIGUEZ-BASS
PLAYER,
was born in Bronx, NY. He is now residing in Ansonia, CT. Ray started
playing music at the age of 9. Ray began in a funk band and was then introduced
to salsa and the rest was history. Ray is co-founder and co-director of
Orq. La 8 Sixty. Around the globe, Ray has had the pleasure and honor
of working with artists such as:

JESSE "JR TIMBALON"
PEREZ-TIMBALES, was born in Brooklyn,
NY and is now residing in East Hartford, CT. Jesse started playing Latin
percussion at the age of 5 under the influence of his father. Jesse is
now the musical director and co-founder of Orq. La 8 Sixty. Jesse has
had the privilege of traveling the world with great artists such as:

Nelson was born in Brooklyn, NY

Luis is a New York talented arranger

JIM MESSENBAUER "MONDONGO"-
TROMBONE, Jim was born in New Jersey
and now resides in Springfield MA. Jim pursued his musical talents at
the age of 10. Jim is the founder of the band BRASS ROOT. Jim also has
3 solo recordings under his belt and is now working on another. Jim wishes
to someday expand Mambo into cross cultural explorations. His talent and
musical history has led him to play with such artists as:

JAMES LEFF-TROMBONE,
Jeff is another great and talented artist from NY City. He is a master
on the trombone andhas played jazz and with big bands. He is now leaning
towards the Latin music with such recorded works as:

JESUS PAGAN-VOCALS,
Jesus
is the classic Latin sonero (singer) and an amazing composer. He also
plays percussion. Jesus is working on his own production with 8 original
compositions, "SALSA DE LA MATA" which is in the last stages
of production.. Jesus is also the composer of songs for several other
Orquesta including ORQ.KOMBOLOKO, THE LATIN HEARTBEAT ORCHESTRA, FRANKIE
VAZQUEZ Y LOS SONEROS DEL BARRIO and RYTHYM SIX . He has worked with many
great talents from Puerto Rico and the Unites States and listing them

MARRERO-VOCALS, Eddie is a guy with
a real history in this band. Eddie has over 35 years of working in this
latin music business. He started with ORQ.COLON and with GUS COLON recorded
2 albums with them. Then with RAY BARRETTO he recorded 3 albums. With ORQ.
GUARARE he joins forces with his compy RAY DE LA PAZ. Eddie is working
on a new project with ORQ. KOMBOLOKO. Eddie has also worked with:

JANSY "YZ" SANTIAGO-
VOCALS, Jansy was born in Bronx,
NY and is now residing in Waterbury, CT Jansy is a young talent with a
romantic touch. He began singing at the age of 8. Jansy was inspired by
the legendary STEVIE WONDER and Salsa's own MARC ANTHONY. He has traveled
throughout the United States with such artists as:
