"One of the finest young violin talents of the day" as recognized by the legendary pianist György Sándor, hungarian violinist Orsolya Korcsolán is quickly establishing herself as a dynamic recital soloist, versatile chamber musician.
Ms. Korcsolán is a graduate of The Juilliard School, New York and the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest. She is a winner of the Dorothy DeLay Scholarship Award and the Cornelius Vander Starr Award. She represents a new generation of violinists pioneering in cross-genre and cross-cultural performances.
She has been an advocate of jewish music since her childhood and has been captivating audiences in the most prestigious Synagogues throughout Hungary. On her debut CD "Mosaic" she recorded jewish master pieces for violin and piano with Judit Kertesz. A regular, close collaborater with Ádám Kondor and other living composers, Ms. Korcsolán is a passionate presenter of new music. She performed the word premiere of Kondor's "Douze Coups" in New York City and his "Nurong Lullaby" Austria.
