Band Members	Just me, Ashley Mason. Hoping to collaborate with other local Leicester artists and musicians... get in touch! I also produce uplifting Trance music under my Trance production and DJ guise DJ Sonarm, sometimes throwing in the odd atmotpheric chillout tune. I also collaborate with vocalist Danni Soul under production alias Blue Amber creating a range of styles including Electro, Ballads and other music that has not yet been given an existing category... The best we've got so far is Electro Soul.
Influences	Royksöpp, Lemon Jelly, DJ Shadow, Massive Attack, Lamb, Archive, Leftfield, Everything But the Girl, Mylo, TelePopmusik, Portishead, Moby, Emiliana Torrini, Daft Punk, Gorillaz, Goldfrapp, Basement Jaxx... the list goes on... Also: Tangerine Dream, Vengelis, Klaus Shulze, Jean Michelle Jarre, Michael Jackson... to name a few Typically, anything that instills sheer emotion effectively through music. Sometimes this includes a select few pop songs and songs from a diverse range of other genres including Jazz, Blues, Trance, Ambient, House, Acoustic, Hip Hop, Electro, a lot of EDM for good measure, Acapella, Triphop, Downbeat, Leftfield, Drum & Bass, live music, Experimental, Breakbeat, Funk, and a dash more EDM and synthesiser work with a tiny cocktail umbrella to finish... :-D

Hi! I'm Ashley Mason, a music producer based in Leicester working under the Orton Emmé alias . I have completed a Diploma in Music at Leicester College and also work under the Sonarm alias, creating Trance and other club music, some of which as been featured on adverts and there's also talk of it being used on SkyTV. I am also a Trance DJ under the same alias gigging in and around Leicester and Leicestershire (check out my Sonarm profile here). Orton Emmé is the alias under which I can write alternate music in other genres, keeping the two personas seperate in the hope of, eventually, a release independent of my other works within the Dance music industry.

What?
The majority of the music I create under this alias I feel is more suited to what I call the 'musically mature audience' who aren't nieve and narrow-minded when it comes to different musical genres. Those people who aren't fussed about the latest boy band or Crazy Frog mimics. Those people that actually care about good music and go out of their way to find it, not just listen to what's brought to them on the monotony of the radio. Non-Pop yet not abstract and not something too non-commercial that the general population won't like it. Good, solid music with some depth and emotion thrown in.

Why?
Because of the vast differences in the genres that I write in and the array of influences that inspire me and keep me sane. I feel that the music written under this alias takes a more open-minded approach to music and incorporates influences and ideas from many other artists including Royksöpp, Lemon Jelly, DJ Shadow, Massive Attack, Moby and Lamb.

How?
Often unusual techniques are used in subtle ways to create a unique sound without losing its commercial interpretation and persona.

My music is also being played at the Sunset Sessions festival, Cornwall!!!
