I am a journalist and homeschooling parent to twin three-year-olds, Porter and Miles (photos and videos here), living in the Columbia Heights neighborhood of Washington, D.C.
I recently turned one-third of a century old. During that time, I have been to nearly 20 countries -- four each starting with "C" and "I", been on a game show, jumped out of an airplane, met a president, dropped out of both nursery school and divinity school, crossed the continent on a bus full of hippies, gone through rehab, danced with my wife atop the Great Wall of China, and thrown up in the Dalai Lama's bathroom.
I am theoretically at work on a memoir about these and other wacky experiences.
