Osaka Pearl is the musical collaboration of Danielle Tibedo, Cregan
Montague and Producer Rick Clark (Death Cab for Cutie, Los Super
Seven). Together they've been developing a debut album that explores a unique blend of organic, electronic and treated sounds featuring, vocoders, piano, electric strings, various synth machines, percussion, copper sheeting and crickets. The yet to be titled album is still in production in Nashville, TN and Los Angeles, CA. Descriptions of Osaka Pearl that come to mind: Soulful, chaotic, meditative, risky, androgynous, vulnerable, child-like, majestic, elusive.

Do you kno how awesome it is that you are having your debut show at a place called the bobo lounge? i can't wait til VH1's special on you guys thirty years from now.
cool cool when you get your new cd send one to me also when are you going to come to las vegas. One of my best friends is in charge of the house of blues in LV so maybe i can talk to him if you would like.
I think you might have known about the band stuff I had done... Leatherettes, ONO, Jack/Riley... But when we knew each other I was mostly doing soundtracks for my solo performance stuff... but i LOVE doing the "band" thing again. I played with ONO twice in Chicago this past spring 2008 and have been doing recording, but nothing live, with Kallen as LEATHERETTES again. If our paths cross in person Danielle we definitely need to do something live if it can happen! A song... a jam... a strange movement performance. HA! I remember when you photographed that butoh piece i did on the beach in Maine. Those were great pix. OSAKA PEARL looks really interesting! You two should be on reverbnation as well.
