At the core of Osbon, brothers Chris and John Osbon have been playing together consistently for almost 25 years. In fact , they have played music together for more years than they have not!!! All through the 90's they carved their way through the southeast as the driving force behind the band "In like flynn" sharing the stage with such acts as , "The Dave Mathews Band", "The Allman Brothers","Drive'n and Cry'n","Hootie & The Blowfish", "Widespread Panic", and "Merle Saunders and the Rainforest Band". During this time they recorded 2 albums with acclaimed producer John Keane. (R.E.M , Indigo girls , Vic Chesnutt , Nancy Griffith , Uncle Tupelo) with outstanding regional success.
After nearly 10 years of constant touring "In like flynn" , took a much needed rest . Two weeks turned into 5 years. " In like flynn"only occasionally got together to play reunion shows in Athens, Augusta, and Atlanta Ga.
In 2006 Chris opened Factory Recording studio in Augusta Ga. giving him the ability to start building a fat catalogue of songs waiting for the right moment or the right band mate to complete the puzzle....In comes Rob Stephens .veteran local band drummer, just what the Osbon brothers needed to refuel....the right attitude and a 20 ft. drum riser , but thats another story!. They are back and stronger than ever. They are currently tracking their first release, "An apparent war story" due to be released in the Spring of 2009.
