My name is Oscar, I’m 23 and I’m kinda folky. Been playing live since I was 15 and have just finished my first proper album. I play my own stuff solo but I sometimes play guitar with Rosewood Green, double bass with Freddie Keen and banjo for anyone who will have me. I also work as a sound engineer at Green Note, and opperate an affordable recording studio in Muswell Hill called Cainer Can Studios. I used to run Oscar’s Academy, my own event that Time Out called "one of the most important new acoustic nights in London" but I gave that up to follow my dreams...
P.S. If anyone would like a copy of my album, it is available for £5 from me at gigs or send me your address and I’ll post you one for free. In return, send me something that will interest me. It could be money, it could be something that inspires you, something artistic that you did, an amazing book, an amazing album, whatever - so long as it’s an enriching surprise. I think that’s much more interesting than naming a price.

By the magic of cat's whiskers, small reverberating crystals, a lick, spit and a promise - sellotape and string productions proudly present: 60 minutes of sheer randomness, brought to you from the back of a camper van, parked in a layby at a secret location somewhere in Yorkshire. The airwaves of Drystoned Radio is playing host to the almost incomprehensible ramblings that we like to call - THE MIX.
THIS WEEK WE ARE FEATURING THE SUMMITS AS THE FEATURED ARTIST !
Simply go to: drystoneradio.co.uk and click on the 'on air' link at 6pm on Saturdays (or again at 9pm on Thursdays) to hear the show.
OR, you can pick it up as a podcast from iTunes or listen and download right here:

Hey Oscar, was good to see you in Wunjo's today. I did not recognize you without your glasses and when you left I said "isn't that Oscar Cainer?" to Ron, and he exclaimed, "Oscar Cainer?!!" and bolted out of the door to get ya!
Anyway, glad your eyesight has corrected itself and was real good to see you again.
If your around tomorrow night, we have an amazing night of music planned upstairs @ the big chill house. We have Smoke Feathers, Jono McCleery, Freak Flag and the mighty Cedars playing.
It should be our best night yet. If you fancy coming down, send me a message and I'll put you on t' guestlist.
WOW - love your sound, especially the song "Castaways". Totally diggin' your guitar craftsmanship - great sounds by the way!
Hope you dig our sound too - we're in the middle of our acoustic week where we've posted our acoustic-based material from our catalog. Check out "By Your Side" or "So True" - I think you'd enjoy them!
