Oscar Camelia is the grandson of the late Juan Camelia, a very well known musician from the island of CuraƧao, Dutch Antilles.
Once started of playing drums, but after a while started to feel a much stronger need for melody and harmony instead of rhythm. So he started playing piano, quickly followed by guitar and bass.
Today he is growing into a humble musician & composer, fascinated by any type of instrument and a fan of music, "played by a musicians heart, instead of computers chip."
Influences
Producers/composers like Wycleff Jean, Nujabes, Jay Dee, Neptunes, Dj premier, Kid Sublime, Quincy Jones, Rjd2, Timbaland, Domingo Deadelus, Quasimoto, Hi Tek, Z-trip, Bangladesh, Ron Brownz, Pete Rock, Mark Isham, Hans Zimmer, Ramin Djawadi, DJ Embee, Dre, Red One etc...
And all the musicians that I've seen playin their instruments!

We start at 2:30 man. See ya there. Maybe if you know some grooves that you like you could have them on paper for us, or be able to explain them. . . . And maybe we'll work out something for ya. You could even come earlier if you want because we'll be there from 12:00 practicing for our next demo.
Don't think that I'll be doing San Francisco Dream anymore, unless I ever find my friend Diego and get his permission. But one of my jazz/funk groups is looking for a cool funky vocalist that you could fit the bill for. We're at my jamsession almost every sunday at the Badcuyp. We do jazzy grooves and shit . . . . . Let me know if that sounds interesting to you. Or stop by the session yourself see what you think.
