The Genesis:
· Oscar Micheli was born on December 14th, 1972. He began his studies at an early age at the “Nacional Dominicana de Musica” with famed professor Milagros Beras.
· In 1990, he was one of the founders of the choir at the “Instituto Cultural Dominico-Americano”, where he obtained a scholarship, as well as participated in several national and international festivals.
· In late 1995, he departed from Santo Domingo , Dominican Republic to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music. While a student, Oscar enhanced his passion and understanding for music, which helped him develop his own musical perspective. He graduated in 1999 as a Jazz Composition and Arranging major.
Artistic Evolution:
· Since graduating Oscar Micheli has had the blessings of working with some of the most innovating and prestigious names in the world of music. The list includes: Patricia Pereyra, Guarionex Aquino, Tadeo De Marco, Chichi Peralta*, Juan Luis Guerra*, Xiomara Fortuna, Frank Caerá, Shara Winter, Audrey Campos, as well as many others. He also became a professor at the National Conservatory of Music, as well as for “Tecladisimo”, which was founded by the prestigious Dominican musician Caonex Peguero Camilo.
· Oscar Micheli began shortly thereafter to conceive a sound, which will eventually become “Oscar Micheli Trio”. The trio, (Guy Frometa, on drums and Peter Nova , as well as special guest Gustavo (Cuquito) Moré), blended intimate Pan-Dominican rhythms with many Jazz styles, which in turn gave it a warm sophisticated elegant mixture of sounds. Oscar Micheli trio’s album “Swimming Notes” was arranged, produced, and partially written by Oscar Micheli. Though, limited in prints, the album became a highly successful domestic release, as it went on to receive airplay and artistic recognition in The US , Venezuela , as well as in a few European countries.
· After the release of “Swimming Notes”, the Oscar Micheli Trio was invited to the following critically acclaimed festivals: “The Heineken Jazz Festivals” at “Casa de Teatro” in of the Caribbean’s most exclusive resorts, “The Dominican week” celebrated in the city of Miami , FL, as well as at “ Brookhaven College in Dallas , TX .
· Oscar Micheli Trio has shared the stage with great figures of the Jazz world. These artists include: Arturo Sandoval, Chucho Valdez, Grupo Mezcla, Giovanni Hidalgo ,Steve Khan, Nestor Torres and others.
· Oscar Micheli also belonged to the wonderful group of praise and adoration from a church headed under the musical leadership of Juan Luis Guerra.
· Oscar Micheli is currently living in New York City, where he is working with extensively, as music director, producer, arranger, and performer Jon Carlos, SonbyFour*, Niel Velez, Michelito, and many other. He is also touring regularly throughout the Americas with several Latin artists.

Oscar Micheli nació el 14 de Diciembre de 1972. Inicio sus estudios musicales a temprana edad en la escuela Nacional Dominicana de Música con la profesora Milagros Beras. En el 1990 fue parte de los fundadores del coro del Instituto Cultural Dominico-Americano, donde obtuvo una beca para realizar sus estudios de ingles, participando en varios festivales nacionales e internacionales de Coros. A finales del 1995 parte a la ciudad de Boston, MA. A continuar sus estudios en Berklee College of Music, graduándose de Jazz Composition and Arranger en 1999. Desde entonces ha trabajado con diferentes artistas locales e internacionales, entre ellos, Patricia Pereyra, Guarionex Aquino, Tadeo De Marco, Chichi Peralta, Juan Luis Guerra, Xiomara Fortuna, Frank Caerá, Shara Winter, Audrey Campos, entre otros. Fue Profesor del Conservatorio Nacional de Música y de la escuela de música “Tecladisimo” del prestigioso músico Caonex Peguero Camilo.
Oscar Micheli junto a su grupo, ha participaro en muchas actividades locales e internacionales como el Heineken Jazz Festival de Casa de Teatro, en la Semana Dominicana celebrada en la ciudades de Miami, Florida y en la Universidad de Brookhaven College, Dallas, Texas. Dominican Jazz Festival junto a grandes figures del Jazz internacional como lo son Arturo Sandoval, Chucho Valdez, Grupo Mezcla, Giovanni Hidalgo entre otros. Pertenecio al maravilloso grupo de Alabanza y Adoración de la Iglesia Más que Vencedores bajo la dirección musical de Juan Luis Guerra. Micheli, grabo su primera producción discográfica junto a 3 músicos de gran trayectoria musical, Guy Frometa, en la batería, Peter Nova y Gustavo (Cuquito) Moré, en el bajo. Fue presentado en el V festival de Jazz de Casa de Teatro, acompañado de Guy Frometa y Penbiang Sang en el bajo. La producción discográfica se titula “Swimming Notes”, Desde su lanzamiento, Oscar Micheli TRIO se ha estado presentando en diferentes escenarios, como el J&B Jazz Bar, el VI Dominican Republic Jazz Festival junto a figuras como David Sánchez, Steve Khan Ramón Vásquez, Chucho Valdez, Guarionex Aquino, Felle Vega, Néstor Torre, entre otros, teniendo así una gran aceptación del publico amante de la música de los músicos.
Actualmente se encuentra en la ciudad de New York donde ha estado trabajando fuertemente como productor y arreglista, y a si como tambien con diferentes artistas como Jon Carlos, SonbyFour, Niel Velez, Cristian D’Rivera entre otros

It occurred to us that these friends (you are among them) are almost universally positive, whether they be novices or legends, and without regard to their station in life or the country they occupy. Although it's not an original thought, it also occurred to us that we couldn’t hold a verbal conversation with most of these friends, but we have bridged that gap by expressing our art honestly with each other. We all have been filling the world with our music and art, in the hope that our messages of love and human understanding will have an impact on the world at large. What a gift and what an opportunity we have received from this technology!
