Oscar, who is of Guatemalan descent, brought with him talent and love of music that spring from childhood of playing a variety of instruments since the age of 5. With inspiration from his heritage, Oscar put together a unique mix of heavy metal, clean guitar & mixed with a hint of Latin flavor. As the word “gifted” doesn’t quite embrace his passion, Oscar gives his music a sound and depth not often heard in Rock music, creating a truly signature sound.
Oscar feels his motivation and inspiration may be from his sub-conscience. What ever the inspiration may be, Oscar finds these qualities in everything from Art, Architecture, Life and other musicians. Ortega attributes most of his passion to his Father, a musician which has been playing for over 50 years and continues to learn and teach others.
Oscar has released his Debut CD - "Fruits of the Mourning" in 2007. It can be purchased on his website www.oscarortega.net or iTunes.
He has collaborated with several musicians on studio and for studio work and is currently touring with his band: Kamphire Collective.

Oscar Ortega es un musico que trajo con él talento y el amor de la música que suelta desde niño con una variedad de instrumentos desde la edad de 5. Con la inspiración de su herencia, Oscar juntó una mezcla de musica del metal pesado, guitarra limpia, con influencia de musica latina. La palabra “dotado” no abraza absolutamente su pasion con la musica. Oscar da a su música un sonido y una profundidad no escuchado en la musica de rock, creando un sonido unico.
Oscar siente que su motivación e inspiración puede ser de su sub-conciencia. La inspiración puede ser creada en todo arte, desde la arquitectura a los obsaculos de la vida. Ortega atribuye la mayor parte de su pasión a su padre, músico por más de 50 años y continúa aprendiendo y enseñando otros. Rolando Ortega.

Oscar, che è della discesa guatemalteca, ha portato con lui il talento e l'amore di musica che balza dall'infanzia del gioco della varietà di strumenti dall'età di 5. Con ispirazione dalla sua eredità.
Oscar ha unito una miscela unica di metallo pesante, guitar pulito & mescolato con un suggerimento di sapore latino. Poichè la parola “dotata„ abbastanza non abbraccia la sua passione, Oscar dà alla sua musica un suono e una profondità sentiti non spesso nella musica della roccia, generante vero un suono della firma.
Oscar ritiene che la sue motivazione ed ispirazione può provenire dalla sua secondario-coscienza. Che cosa mai l'ispirazione può essere, ritrovamenti del Oscar queste qualità in tutto da arte, da architettura, da vita e da altri musicisti. Attributi del Ortega più della sua passione al suo padre, un musicista che sta giocando per oltre 50 anni e continua ad imparare ed insegnare altri.
